Through his sculptures, photography, videos and text, Ciarán Walsh manifests various states of incompletion and communicative corruption that explore the occurances of the uncanny in the museum, viewership on the part of the experiencing Subject, and the fabric of alienation within encounter.
He has shown in solo exhibitions at Galway Arts Centre (Galway), Pallas Contemporary Projects and Four (Dublin), and Visual (Carlow), and in group exhibitions in the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Project Arts Centre, and Mother's Tankstation (Dublin), Crawford City Gallery (Cork), The Dock (Carrick-on-Shannon), and Joăo Cocteau and Atelierhof Kreuzberg (Berlin). He created an online project commisioned for Light & Wire Gallery (Los Angeles); curated the public projects Sweet Futures and Hedge School (Carlow), and co-curated the exhibition The Reading Room at Grand Union (Birmingham).
Originally from Ireland, he is now lives and works in Berlin.
