Ciarán Walsh

Walsh’s work draws upon a range of cultural artefacts - museology, psuedo-science, primitivism, and science-fiction - to explore disruptions in personal and cultural memory, the uncanny at play in the museum, subjective encounters with museological objects, and the workings of partially apocryphal narratives in the creation of meaning.

He has exhibited in a variety of solo and group exhibtions, most recently in the Irish Museum of Modern Art (Dublin), Crawford City Gallery (Cork), and João Cocteau (Berlin); as well as co-curated the exhibition The Reading Room at Grand Union (Birmingham). He is based in Berlin.
